Individual therapy

I have several therapeutic trainings and experience from psychiatry, family therapy and private practice. But after my encounter with IFS, which stands for Internal Family System over the past few years, almost all my therapeutic processes are informed by that thinking and approach. I specialize in the field of bodywork and have a lot of experience in facilitating presence and awareness of connections in physical and psychological processes. In IFS, it is part of the work to experience psychological processes through the body, so if you are looking for a bodily or spiritually oriented psychotherapy, I highly recommend you to experience this, in many ways slightly different, way of being a client.

IFS therapy

IFS stands for Internal Family System and is an evidence-based psychotherapeutic approach developed by Richard Schwarz. It is a relatively new direction in psychology and also integrates bodily and spiritual aspects of the human being. In IFS therapy, you are supported to look inside yourself and get in touch with different parts that in different ways prevent or interfere with the life you want to live. When these parts are helped, they will release the burdens they have often carried for many years and bring more creativity, lightness and joy into the client’s life. Many find they become better at feeling themselves, setting healthy boundaries, having better relationships and letting go of heavy emotions or thought patterns. I also sometimes use IFS methods during Rolfing sessions, as I find this approach effective for integrating parts of the body and mind that are painful or tense. I offer a loving connection where I can curiously support you in connecting with the parts of you that need to be found and helped.
